Well it seems that my Z6 has a failed XQD card slot.

It has less than 2000 actuation and is now in for quote to fix .

Is this the norm for a 1st series Z6

I do have a D500 with XQD and SD and its been great approx 65ooo actuation on that one

I would not expect this behaviour.

Has there been any exposure to moisture?

How old is the camera? Perhaps it's failing the fitness for purpose warranty, although a series 1 Z60 is probably six or years old.
