Fuji S3

ISO1600 f6.7 22mm. fill flash SB800 - 2/3 of a stop

ISO800 f1.4 28mm.
Image BTW, i hate suede jackets! :x As they can visually have a noise appearance, even though the plane black pants look fine!

I really like the second image Andrew. I like the PP and it's got a great feel to it. You are right the S3 really makes a great job of the high ISO images quite smooth. Any noise removal program used? It would be great to see a side by side comparison with the D200. :)
cheers

Michael,

Yep, four AA's. using AA's tends to polorise people. Some love it, some hate it. It doesn't bother me.

Marco,

S3-Vs-D200 ISO1600 shots take several months ago.
Both taken at ISO1600 85mm f1.4 @ f8 1/2sec Centre weight meter, no PP.

D200
Image PS it's not banding, the box had vertical lines on it, as can been seen in both images.

The S3 using AA's just perplexes me a bit, it musn't have as high of a current draw as other DSLRs.

Nice, I'm surprised that the D200 held up quite well ISO 1600.

Got and more Blue Label to share around? I'll bring Romeo y Juliette cigars.
