Not to bad, based on its potential.

The initial proper reviews and hi-res images should be interesting.

The images and the video on dpreview.com now are a fiasco.

See the video from Michael Fletcher at:

Christian Fletcher and Michael Coyne have been using the camera in S.A. Christian has a blog entry on it but his web server has been overwhelmed by the number of visitors. When it comes back, see:

and Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Christia ... 1648387955

Some idiot at Fuji decided to omit adding a dioptre adjustment to the viewfinder! Who are the photographers most likely to buy this camera ? Older, cashed up ,rangefinder nostalgia ridden photographers...who all wear glasses!

I would have loved to have been at the conference table when they were discussing that one.......No, wait aminute.......I don't speak Japanese, so there wouldhave been be no point.

On the plus side....the sample images look bloody beautiful.

Settle down Matt. :)

They have said they left it out because of space considerations caused by the magnifying apparatus in the viewfinder.

Got $30 on you? http://www.mainlinephoto.com.au/category3_1.htm

Colour in pics OK
Body design gorgeous
Pricing - WTF!

Images - totally underwhelming for me. I have seen better from P&S.

To date, there have been few images posted from a production camera, and a lot that have have been little more than snapshots, so I can't disagree there.

Some useful shots (and info) in this thread though:

I think it will hold its own. Time will tell.

http://zackarias.com/blog/

Zack Arias is in Dubai and has been posting images taken with the X-Pro1 on his blog.

This little quote from his blog was amusing:

I’ve seen people bitching and moaning and complaining about the Fuji X-Pro1 on photography forums. They have no idea what they are talking about.

He must read DPReview. Someone should tell him it's not just the XPro1 that cops it. :D
