PS Action to remove exif data - similar to save for webI am trying to create an action that will open a file, remove the ICC profile & exif data & save it, exactly what the "save for web" option does.
The problem is when I use "save for web", I cannot batch process it, performing a "save as", retains the exif data & no matter what I have tried it's still there. Any Ideas? Does the name Pavlov ring a bell?
Just use an external program.
There's plenty around. I'm not sure if a site search here will help, but a quick Google should yield some results, I would expect. g.

http://www.irfanview.com/ for windows should do the trick
has bath processing. unfortunatley i dont think you can make a simple droplet like in photoshop where you just drop the folder onto the icon and it processes it. you have to open the program, add the files into the batch and away you go (click the options button to remove EXIF data). hope this helps
Why not batch save from photoshop "for web"?
When you save pics from photoshop using "save for web" choose a high quality option, then the EXIF and other print irrelevant information tags will be removed. I believe the ICC can be altered too, not too sure on this one. I use OPanda Exif-Viewer... It allows me to batch EXIF data, saves some clicks away. Good luck
I believe you can create an action on "save for web" and over-ride the "save as" function from the batch processor.
