Which pano stitching softwarehaving done a bit of a search here, i find PTgui and panorama factory pop up a lot for auto stitching.
Is one better then another ? I have tried both, albiet very briefly, and found the PTgui to be faster and it produced a better image. Are there any other programs out there for panorama's ? thanks Scott D300, 80-200 F2.8, 50mm F1.4, 18-70 kit, Sigma 14mm F3.5
Re: Which pano stitching softwareScott,
I use PTGui on a Mac and find that it is a great program. The latest version also has the ability to do HDR panos, great for when you have some difficult light. PS CS3 also has a pretty good pano stitching facility. That's if you have PS CS3. Re: Which pano stitching software
I was never happy with PTgui so I now use the Hugin open source software. I do swap out Enblend and replace it with Smartblend for even better results. Daniel Nikon D4, D2Xs, D70, Nikkors and Sigmas lenses from 10 to 400mm

Re: Which pano stitching softwareI've had fun in the past using Autostitch.
http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~mbrown/autostitch/autostitch.html It's freeware. You just need to re-download it every six months or so.
Re: Which pano stitching software+1 for Hugin.
I'll have to find out more about Smartblend - I've been using Enblend and have so far been happy with the results. Latch

Re: Which pano stitching software
If you always shoot on a tripod and don't have any parallax problems then Enblend probably works perfectly. I've just found for imperfect shots (parallax, moving people, surf, etc) Smartblend does wonderful joins. It's algorithm does exactly what I used to do by hand in photoshop.
