D200 and viewing after PP

Postby Jeff on Sun Dec 24, 2006 1:23 pm

Santa arrived early and gave me a D200 aren't I luckey.
Took some very uninteresting garden shots to trial. Down loaded them to Nikon Viewer, view at 100%all good . Process them in Nikon Capture 4.2 and them try to view them again at 100%,this time bad. They are very unviewable all broken up into squares as if they were blowen up 5 times that amount. I may not have explained it very well but has anybody got any ideas why this should be that way.

can you post some sample pic's? One thought that comes to mind is what file format and quality settings are you saving them at in Nikon Capture and what kind of post processing are you applying?

I can't post a sample because the problem is only when you try to blow up the processed image. this problem is not evident with similar images captured and processed (in the same manner) with the D70.

From one new D200 user to another - congrats on your new acquisition.

IIRC, Capture v4.4 was the minimum supporting the D200, so I think that may resolve your imaging issues there. Updates are free from Nikon's support site the last time I checked...
