Changing background colour etc

I've had a quick look through the posts to make sure I'm not doubling up on a question.

I have some images of coffee mugs etc that I have some of my photos printed on, and I want to find a fairly easy way to change the background colour on the images, without having to do it the tedious way in psp.

If anyone knows a relatively simple way to do this, I would be very grateful.

Sunnylass - what method are you describing as 'tedious'? In Photoshop, it couldn't be simpler if you've got a single colour background - just use the magic wand tool to select it then use Image/Adjustments/Hue Saturation or Colour Replacement to make the colour change. If you could be a bit more specific about exactly what it is you wish to change we can offer up some suggestions.

Hi Simon,

I've made tubes in paintshoppro and that so far is the only way I have learnt to change the background colour.

I have pics of mugs etc, and I just want to change the colour behind the mug.

Ooo... I know diddly-squat about PaintShop Pro, sorry SL. However... this place is bound to have a few members who know exactly what you're after.

C'mon folks - any PSP gurus out there?

I only mentioned PSP because I know how to do tubes in that software.

I use Photoshop more, but I tried that method you just suggested and it didnt work.

I am blonde though, I'm probably doing something wrong.

I'd pick the tower up and hurl it out the door but it would hurt my neck
