Removing duplicate sets of keywords in Bridge CS3?

Postby rookie2 on Fri Oct 19, 2007 12:43 am

I am very slowly trying to organise my 1000s of pics and have attached keywords to many of them in the past in a rather 'random' manner (not fully understanding PS).:?:

Problem is many of them now have TWO sets of identical keywords that look messy and are unnecessary.

Any idea how to remove the extra set of matching keywords. (I have tried changing settings in Bridge Preferences>keyword and >meta data settings without luck so far.)

Your help and ideas are appreciated as always.

cheers

Not sure if I fully understand what you are asking but in Bridge you can go View>Keywords panel. Now select all the photos with duplicate keyword. For the keyword which is duplicated, or triplicated or whatever... click the keyword checkbox. Keep clicking that box until the check disappears, then click again once. You should then have only one instance of that keyword in the selected photos

thanks Simon but I just found the culprit.

Just needed to unclick a box Under Preferences >thumbnail>show extra detail...

I was looking in the keywords area!

cheers
