Transparent background prints creamy white?? Help

Postby ljxphotography on Thu Jul 30, 2009 11:15 am

Hi all,

I have been printing multiple images on A3+ pages on my epson R2400, I have been building the pages in photoshop on a transparent background, when I print the pages the background has been printing a creamy white, whereas I want it to be the paper color.
I have tried saving in different file formats and tried the background eraser.

Anyone have any thoughts, if i can fix this, it will save me a heap on ink

Hit your printer settings for the print and uncheck "Gloss" to turn off the Gloss Optimizer.

In the testing I've done with Harman paper (and I did a lot of testing the past couple of weeks), the gloss optimizer adds a creamy layer over the top with a hint of magenta or red in the beginning. If your paper is already glossy enough, I find the gloss optimizer tints the page.
