Gary, I went through my User Control Panel settings and found I could set "Notify me upon replies by default" to Yes. Perhaps that will fix the problem.

No, didn't work. I didn't get notification for your comment above and not for comments on the post I made a few hours ago. I think I used to get a dropdown below a reply for comment notification and if so, I don't anymore.
