Welcome Dug,

don't worry about the "lack" of contents, it's being restored following a hacked site. Our valued admins are working on it.

It is a great community.

Some wonderful photos at your site,

Doug..

In reference to your site; I can't wait to master the craft as you have.

Possibly the most gorgeous and stunning portfolio i've seen in a long time!

Quick question, completely off topic, what portrait lens do you use? I love the control of DOF in your images.

Hi Dug

Glad to see you found the site. I think we will have enough for a D70 chapter on the Sunshine Coast soon. I am looking forward to some of your PNG images being posted for the community too.

Would also like to meet Volvo. Anyone who has a Volvo and a D70 has to be OK in my book .

Welcome everyone! Some fantastic images on your respective sites and you've really set the standard high by the looks of it. Us hackers will just have to keep plodding along and pick up some tips along the way...

What's with the surge in Sunshine Coast membership? Is Dargan driving a Volvo around up there with DSLRUSERS.COM plastered across its strangely-shaped flanks or is he wearing a badge that says: "Want to Post Images? Ask Me How!"??? :D

Hey Liam My portrait lens? What ever lens comes to hand first and I feel like using :D

I am a slacko really, I learned my craft in the early 70's on 5"x4" view cameras.

I have used and abused large, medium, sub-miniature 35mm and now digital (BOO HISS).

Portrait lenses 18 70mm D series, 80 200mm ED f2.8, 90mm f2.8 Tamron Macro, 28 105mm Tamron.

I just finished a shoot using the new 10 20mm Sigma lens for an album cover, half shot on the nikkor 18 70mm half 10 20mm sigma.

Welcome to the forum Volvo!

To get your little pic on the left hand side, have a look at the top of the forum screen. Make sure you are signed in though.

If you are signed in you'll see a "profile" link. Click on that, and you'll see your profile. Down the bottom of your profile, you will see an Avatar section. This is where you upload your avatar.

The little pic dimensions are restricted to 100 by 100 pixels and the file size has to be 6k or less.

Also photos of Volvo's (new or otherwise) are banned.

Citroens are OK though

Cheers
