What is this "chimp"ing you speak of?

To me "chimping" is the habit of checking the back of your DSLR after every shot... 8)
Seriously, it's not a term I'm otherwise familiar with!

Dave,

Exactly.

Expand your horizons; think beyond the back of your DSLR! :)

Very P.C. Alpha_7, but let's face it - Bruce the disgruntled climber, would go and get pissed and have a major whinge to his mates instead, especially in view of the price of diesel these days.

Cheers
What's another word for "thesaurus"?

Probably now should be renamed Quaint Anal!

QANTAS - Queens And Nancies Trained As Stewardesses...
Pan Am - We know the Pacific better than anyone else - We should do, we've been in it more often
British Airways - British Scareways
United Airlines - Fly United (Picture of 2 ducks "doin' it" in mid air)
I used to know heaps of them and most have been forgotten. Long time ago too.

Now - QANTAS - Quite A Nasty Trick Assessing Stuff.
Best I could do at short notice.

I have a different point - I weigh 63 KG's. That so and so in front of me weighs nearly double that, and you aren't going to let 7.0001 KG of camera gear on?
(I know all people are built different, I am stating an example and not wanting to offend the size XXXL's out there, you're all nice people  )
But my point is valid regarding overall weight per dollar. If it works like that, why don't we pay our plane tickets based on weight - could be good for health perspectives too (unless you're at the other end of the scale Anorexia or belemia and the like and they pay you to fly...) I'd be happy to have me and all my gear weighed and base my price on that... But I'm a skinny prick. Sorry can I say that? I mean, I'm a skinny prick.

My solution would be to wear a jacket on board with nice deep comfortable inside pockets for all sorts of legal things, take the jacket off and put it on the xray belt with the carry-on baggage, then put the jacket on again.
Sometimes they used to even hang my jacket in the little locker they have at the front. It's been a while since I've flown so I cannot atttest to any of this now but thought my post may bring a wry smile to some.
