Which generic R/C did you get?

If it's the Jaycar one, I'd fork out the extra 10-20 bucks and buy the real Nikon one... I found that when shooting in the studio, the generic one worked 1 out of 5 or 6 times I pressed it and the real Nikon one worked every time.

Then again, a lot of people have had different results.

Have fun with your new purchase and I look forward to seeing some of your results!

VK4CP,

I hope you get similar delight from your new piece of kit as I hope to get from mine.

Do any of the remote devices offer a quick selection of mirror-up?

Leigh,

Don't be tempted as I was to use the old pick-up line: "What would you say to a little puck?" It invariably earned the response, "Hello little Puck!"

The price you paid for your non genuine R/C is nearly the same as the genuine one on this board.

Hi there,

Congrats on your purchase and hope you have great time playing with it (I did!).

The kit lens is fast to autofocus.

Exactly what I thought too when I first tried it.

Looking forward to seeing some of your pictures. Happy shooting!

Oh really? What brings you to Abu Dhabi?

Anyway, give me a ring when you get there.
