New Toy!!

Postby Pauld on Tue Oct 18, 2005 7:29 pm

Hi all

Just wanted to say thankyou to Birddog for my new Benro KB-2 Ballhead, having not used a ballhead before I now wonder why I waited so long.

Birddog you deserve a medal for your service to this group :D

I have a small question regarding the smallest knob at the bottom of the head. I believe it is suppose to lock the base to stop it rotating but the base still turns although quite stiff when it is tightened up. Could someone shead some light on this for me.

Now to get my hands on a VR! :D

Thanks
Paul D

Looking forward to a review once you get used to it Paul, so get out there and start shooting.

Birdy - how does it stack up against the Kirk, Markins, RRS, etc? Has anyone used it enough to give it a rating?

cameraguy21773,
Depend on what version, The KB-2 are not equal those heads, it's closed too and it serves well within the budgetary of our fellows, it smooth enough to drive the big gun and strong to keep the 200-400VR/ 500 stay still.
