Yup the new toy (it almost got wet ). The kit lens in my opinion is one of the most underated lens available to us

Just been trying to do that myself John... but nothing flash for me.. a few long exposures with bright skys but no lightning
Top photo tho... i really need to sneak up to the top of buderim and get coastwide lightning shots one day Tim p.s. if i ever work it out that is D70 - D200/MBD200 Coming soon - Too Much Gear, Not Enough Talent

John, I was at Mooloolaba at the height of the storm picking up some Thai food opposite the Surf Club when one of those bolts hit very close. About 50 people jumped as one as it struck. Where did you take the picture from .... Caloundra?
In the end we know Nothing, but in the meantime Learn like crazy.
