Tamron Lense!

Postby Muzza22au on Thu Nov 03, 2005 10:58 am

A mate gave me a TAMRON 75-250mm 1:3.8 1:4.5/250 CF TELE MACRO Lense to try out and was just wondering if they are any good? It needs cleaning inside as there are dust particles and it needs a Nikon mount as at present it has a Pentax one!
He wants $50 for it and am wondering if it is worth it?

Cheers

Scott,
Do you think you can get a Nikon adapter for the Pentax mount lens?
I know people can get Nikon adapter for Canon lens, but doubt about the one with Pentax.

Yeah not sure about the mount! Am going to go to ring around today to see!
If not a mate has a Pentax and I will give it to him for $50...

No, if you can find one adapter to suit that lens, I think it'll cost more than the lens.

Scott
For what its worth I bought what i thought was a 2x tele converter for nikon lenses a short while ago off ebay for $20 but it turned out to be an adapter for pentax to nikon mount I think. PM me and you can check it up on internet(I don't have details with me) and if its any good to you you can have it just for cost of postage. Not sure if it will suit so don't get hopes up too much but once i send you model details etc you can do a quick search. If you want it its yours!
cheers

marco,
2x TC with that lens won't work, you need a set of floodlights in the Olympic stadium to bright the subject up  or maybe won't fit, not all the TC works on all the lenses.

Hey Marco thanks for the offer! But I may just spend a few more $$$ and get a AF lense, will have to go check some out tonight.

Thanks everyone for your input!
