Gurgle....

Missed the last bus, damnit...

Had to catch another, unfamiliar one and walk a bloody long way to get home :(

But at least i knew what time it was with my new Mercedes benz watch. Pity i couldn't drive it home.

My pixspot images should be fully up now - 3 pages worth.

There's about 1 gig (~400) of images from Geoff and my CF cards combined (after cutting back quite a number of them). I guess Birddog's plan is to burn a copy to give each member that was present on the night.

Once again, those that didn't or couldn't attend missed out. No Mercedes Benz, no meeting Mr Poon, no lobster, no peking duck, no deep fried barramundi, no getting to know the challenge #2 winner in real time, no getting to meet 20 odd other D70 users and forum members - which Gary pointed out on the night this only represents 10% of member base.

Looks like a winner...

Thanx, onyx, for the peek at last night's festivities. Evry1 seemed to be having a grand old time. :D
I can't help but be amazed at the amazing good fortune that has caused this forum to develop. Gary for originating it, Thanh for "patronising" it, all members for supporting and enjoying it. It seems the stars were in alignment.
I feel quite lucky, and I wasn't even at the Christmas Party. :)
By the way, Poon surely would have set off every metal detector at Sydney International, wouldn't he? Cameras, lenses, watches - how many lugage trolleys did he need?
See ya

Great to meet with you again, and say hi to Chryssine for me too, please.

What you've said sums up last evening's event perfectly. I think it's fair to say that wWe could feel the presence of those members not physically present.

No Gary, mine only had a key to an old 300 CE, can we swap keys. Your shot does the watch justice. Ray, you and everyone else where with us in spirit.
