Slow response times...

Hi all,
I use my gmail account to receive topic notifications from the forum. They have been VERY slow coming through (i.e I'm getting ones from Friday and Saturday just coming through now). Anyone else having problems?

At the moment there's a version of the Sober virus doing the rounds, and it's hitting a lot of mailservers very hard.

I'm aware of at keast two, one of which is in Oz, the other being DH's..
That would probably be the cause of any delays.

I host my own mail here so hopefully all will be well with the latest round of worms etc.

I have noticed a rise in spam again too. mostly for watches and stocks at the moment.

definitely less spam than there used to be though

I've also seen a marked increase of spam on my gmail account.
It all goes direct to the spam bin automatically, just annoying that these dickheads still spew this crap out
Watches & stocks seem to be there new avenue of attack, even my work address is being sent this drivel.

Paul,
That what they asked you from the beginning, to seek the gmail account and only available in limited number of gmail, so most gmail account holders complaint about spam, rubbish, crappy stuffs etc....
Hehehe! they make good money in selling and sharing their database.
I'm not gmail account holder and never want one for.

I have had my gmail account since sometime last year...until the 26th of November I've had NO (that's right..none) spams, since then only just 4. I think that's ok. :D
