OVATION CHANNEL TONIGHT 10PM (9PM QLD)

Postby blacknstormy on Mon Jan 02, 2006 9:08 pm

Hi all
If you have fox, ovation channel has a special running tonight and next Monday on American Photography. Tonight discusses the photographic age 1935-1959, and next week from 1960-1999. Then on the 16th, at 1.40am (!!!), The Art of the Photograph.

"American Photography
In the 1930s, an explosion of mass media devoted to photographs brought images to all Americans. Magazines like Life and Look were dedicated to photographs. An Associated Press wirephoto could be sent anywhere instantaneously, and suddenly millions of people were seeing the same pictures at the same time. "
