HELP ! off topic removing Araldite?

Postby Dug on Thu Mar 16, 2006 10:44 pm

I have stuffed up the repair of a cherished jug and now need to find a way to remove the Araldite glue and get someone who knows what they are doing to do the job.

Does anyone know a way of softening dissolving or removing Selleys ARALDITE glue?

I need to get this done before Margo finds out!!!!

Yes I saw that to, do you want to translate it into English for me? :?

I was thinking I may just heat it in the oven.

If all else fails, try Shannon Lush's book "Spotless" - she's probably got an answer for you...

BURN BABY BURN!!

Dont use any Liquid Cement near it.. then again... might make some interesting photos as the "cherished" jug explodes from over cooking

Maybe try acetone, (nail polish remover.) I've heard it dissolves most glues.
