Postby kipper on Thu Mar 30, 2006 12:02 am

Well Im standing at the departure gate with the 500MMF4 in hand, along with D70 and one TC sitting in a lowepro lenstrekker 600AW.

So I guess Birddog, it can be done :) Then again i guess you were just stirring all along

Now to just board the plane, hope the s there don't stop me :)

Why are you going to the UK? Nevertheless, these messages seem sad...

kipper/darryl - I didn't hear any screaming overnight so you must have boarded the aircraft with all your photography equipment.

Have a safe journey and look forward to shots from France and then the UK.

Kipper, you leaving didn't have anything to do with the new Industrial Relations laws which came into effect on Monday? I remember you were firmly opposed to them. :D

Glen, no I was going to leave before now but it does look like the construction industry is in for some interesting times ahead. I know my company which had 15-20 employees on a large building site in the city was going to cull about 10-15 of them at the end of this month because they didn't want to pay the easter holidays ;)

While it probably won't be an overly bad thing in the long run (it will become a lot like the UK I expect), I think it will have a lot of teething problems. Anyway time will tell whether it was all just a storm in a tea cup.

I'm currently in Changi airport waiting for my connecting flight to London which is about a 2-3 hour wait :(

Shudder.

Glad you had a safe first leg of your trip, Darryl.

Shouldn't you be exploring the DF stores and seeing what bargains there are to be had?
