Where to find RRP of Nikon Gear?Since Maxwells has now starting using Nikon.com.au I have a small problem:
They don't list RRP and I need to update my insurance. So is there a place I can find them? Otherwise, if someone has noted them, I have: Nikon D70 18-70 70-300ED SB800 50 1.8 - Nick

How did you get that?
I just get redirected to http://www.nikon.com.au anyway I try to access the Nikon part of Maxwell's site. EDIT: Found it via Lenses then Nikon, thanks. - Nick

No, not real and no need!, if you quote too high then your premium is increased, and when they pay the claim, the underwriter won't base on the RRP figure to pay you, they obtain the quotations from few places and will settle your claim based on the cheapest quotation which they received. Of course, it's New for Old policies. Last edited by birddog114 on Wed Apr 26, 2006 5:56 pm, edited 1 time in total.

Retail pricing at Vanbar or ECS etc... Using RRP for insurance purpose is a bad idea. Insurance Companies don't care how much you paid them for? If you put in a high price tags (RRP) then you'll pay the higher premium. In the case of your claim once it arised, they will settle your claims based on the quotations, not the RRP, or say: Market Value. Or they may order the lenses or gears from their suppliers who provided them a cheapest quotation, of course there're new replacement gears as their policies. Birddog114

yeah what birdy said is right. My parents had a claim because of lightning strike and the insurance company offered new for old but through their network.
Basically got the TV from victoria and the router from a unknown shop with the computer from a unknown dealer. It all came by parcel post.
Retail is 7780 for the 200 VR f/2. What is your approx. price Birdy? (Purely for dreaming at the moment...
