Looking for a cheap D50?

Postby smac on Tue Jun 06, 2006 5:50 pm

Not sure how old this "newsflash" is, I found it on nikonuser.org.

Nikon has announced that they have about 510 sets of Nikon D50s being stolen in Hong Kong. Nikon will not service any of these stolen sets bought. So please be careful when purchasing your D50s.

I guess that when you walk out of a hotel in Hong Kong now you won't be greeted with "want to buy a cheap suit?" more like "want to buy a cheap camera?"

I dare say most of the users here will have d70s or equivalents and be looking at moving towards the d200, d2x

not to say that the d50 doesnt turn out a good pic.
Its just that this forum was initially d70users but moved towards dslrs in general.

Still a funny note though ;)

Hmmm... D50 as a second body....

Naaah, the fact that it takes SD cards counts me out of hunting these horrible horrible D50 thieves down and making them an offer they can't refuse ;)
