Third Party Flashes

Postby Raskill on Tue Jun 06, 2006 6:59 pm

Just wondering if anyone out there has ever used third party flashes, in particular this

Sigma EF-500

I need another speedlight for my D70s, I thought about the SB800 (cost prohibitive now), but these cost less, and may meet my needs.

Thanks :D

Raskill,
We talked about it in the early days of this forum.
Not worth it as we discussed.

Raskill,

wouldn't you be better off getting an SB6000 at a "Bargains" price? Similar price to that Sigma, looking at ebay prices for the Sigma flash.

Not sure what other flash you have, but the SB600 is also a really good flash.

Cheers,

André

I've got a SB600 just now, but need another. The sigma was just an option to look at. I nticed that a few local photogs (wedding and press) use third party flashes. I might just bite the bullet and buy an SB800 when my tax cheque comes.
