Somewhat dauntingI'm new to both this board and dslr photography in general. Got myself a new Nikon D200, after deciding to jump straight in.
Can anyone recommend a good book regarding digital photography? Something that doesn't focus too much on Photoshop, since i'm more than comfortable with that already.
Welcome, welcome welcome!
This forum is better than any book you will read!!! Choose a topic you want to know something about, do a search on the topic in this forum and start reading. Heaps cheaper than any book. Having said that I am sure that some members will have some books to recommend Mal
I've got a camera, it's black. I've got some lens, they are black as well.
Hi mlaich and welcome to the forum.
Mal's right - You'll save yourself a lot of money and, once you've worked out how to effectively search for topics, time by tapping into the expertise here. It's difficult to recommend books as there are literally thousands out there and you may need to narrow down the subject matter somewhat. Any decent bookshop will have a stack to chosse from or do a search online at, say, the Angus & Robertson or Borders Book Stores sites. Simon

Welcome to our forum - as already said you will find a wealth of knowledge here. Being a newbie to both digital photography and the D200 I suggest you get yourself Thom Hogan's D200 ebook - found here - http://www.bythom.com/d200guide.htm
Again - welcome Geoff
