I've been looking at the maple trees waiting for them to turn orange and red before going brown, but they're just turning from green to brown :?

Not sure if the other states are experiencing this, but it's happening here in Metro Victoria.

I saw some red ones in Batemans Bay as we drove past, but possibly not as many as I expected at this time of year.

I'm no botanist, but I'd say drought driven. No water, probably accelerates the process, and the green leaves seem to be simply dying.

I've watched this out my lounge window, its the same, green to brown. In fact, the green right now, has a border of brown, bypassing the colorful intermediate stages all together...
