Help Please

Postby mic on Wed Jun 13, 2007 6:03 pm

I have been approached by a lady to purchase some of my own prints or images to display in her gallery, she asked me how much I would sell them to her for.

She will print & display herself.

Has anybody done this here ?

What image size do I give her & what format ?

How much do I Charge ?

Any ideas, I wouldn't have a clue where to start on price ?

Thanks,

Mic.

If it is done this way what control do you have........ you will not know how many prints are done or sold.......

What kind of images and how good are they? It's entirely your call....think about $95.00 if she's doing the printing and framing. Don't go any lower unless there is a large volume of prints involved.

If she wants to buy 'images,' and then on-sell them then charge her heaps. If she wants the rights to the image then you need to make it worth your time and effort.

If she only wants to print it once and show it in her gallery, then tell her you will do the printing and sell it that way.

You need to know exactly what she wants.

Thats what I wanted, some direction.

Don't sell yourself short, Mic. Not trying to sound too bitter and twisted, but Pat and I have learned the hard way that there are plenty of people out there willing to take advantage of you if you let your guard down.
Cheers,
