Bought a Leica today

Postby Glen on Fri Jun 22, 2007 7:14 pm

for my daughter :D Seems they can still suck a few dollars out of a wanker like me for a big name on a japanese camera.Image Smallest, cheapest they make and I feel I am vicariously feeding my desire for a M8 through my daughter

Made in Japan, but they make you feel very German with austere silver packaging with black labels, etc. It is the Panasonic unit with a Leica lens and colour management and image processing. Reading reviews and looking at samples showed quite a bit of difference between them as there should be with the price difference, $850 rrp for a 7mp P&S, still the cheapest Leica I will ever own.

Daughter was smart enough to realise she needed a wide angle lens, this had 28mm so suited.

Nice looking P&S Glen :)

Brooke was happy Geoff, disappointing thing for me is that she didn't know what a Leica was! She actually said "It's not a Canon" as recommended by her workmates, I told her to message all these pro photogs and tell them she has a Leica Image

I’m surprised that Brooke did not say ”it’s not pink”
