Looks like Canon caught up with a 200mm F2 against Nikon... Not sure how it performs but I guess it wont be any bad... :)

I'll have to compare the f2 to the Canon 200mm f1.8.

no it was discountinued in 2004 and those that have them usually want to hang onto them.

Some pop up on ebay - one on there now for $4800 USD (here) Shooting with one is difficult without a monopod (as it is heavy - 3kg) and you'll have to shoot over 1/250th.

if your happy to put up with this, you'll have better bokeh than the 85:1.2, 135:2.0, 300:2.8, 500:4 lenses.
