Estimation of Nikon F80 Kit

Postby kipper on Mon Feb 14, 2005 10:01 pm

Well it's come time for me to get my Nikon F80 ready for sale now that I'm fully happy with the D70 (although there wasn't much doubt). What I'd like is for people to give me a rough estimation of it's worth so that I can make sure I don't undersell it. The kit includes the following:

* Nikon F80 Black Body
* Nikkor 28-80MM 1:3.5-5.6D AF Lense
* Sigma 70-300MM 1:4-5.6D APO Super Macro Lense
* 2 x Arrow 58MM UV Filters
* Lowepro Off Road Backpack
* Hama Track Pack
* Manuals (maybe even warranty and boxes if I look)

The kit is about 3-4 years old. Not overly used.
Here are some photos of the kit:

Kipper,

I just sold my F80 today :!: :!: :!:

I sold the F80 Black + 28 - 105 1/3.5 - 4.5 D lens + UV filter + CP Filter + Strap.

All up I got $730.00 for it. I might have been able to get a bit more but it was a nice easy, quick sale and I was happy with the price.

Hope this helps you decide on a price.

Cheers,

I'm hoping to get around the $900-$1000 mark. The Sigma lense when I purchased it was about $800.

With the extra lens and the bag etc... I think you could get about $150 - $200 more than my sale.

I hope so anyway.

I have seen a few on E-Bay go for less though, guess there is not a huge market for second hand film gear, so maybe set your minimum price and then be happy with whatever you get over it.

Mine is the F80D with the date databack. Did yours have that or not? It's only worth an extra $50 for this body so I doubt it will increase the $ by much.

No mine was not the date model.

I'm not sure this will make to much of a difference. How are you going to sell it?

Yeah that is where I sold mine...

Consider putting a starting bid of whatever you will sell it for (basicly lowest price) and then but a buy it know price a hundred or so dollars above that.

I put my buy it know price on and that is how I sold it.
