D300 - DSC0001.NEF

I tried to make it interesting, even stood there for a while waiting for him to hit the ball. Seems my new D300 is broken as it can't take a great photo for me... I thought this camera could do everything 8)

Now off to read the manual :!: BTW - just resized and converted to Jpeg for the web, I don't even know what the settings in the camera were

Yeah, it's no good Andrew. Your only possible course of action is to hand me the camera. Heck, I'll even come by your place and pick it up free of charge! ;)

Enjoy yer new toy. And the new learning curve. Merry Xmas.

Andrew,

Like you I wanted my first image to be something special. While I'm pleased with the image I got, I'm sure I could have done better. I just got over excited.

Your image will at least be a nice memory.

Doesn't matter, it is tradition to post your very first image with no PP on the forum from any camera...

So come on, let's see this OOF pocket knife

Not sharp at all!

Image

and no sharper a few seconds later before I realise dynamic focus was still on

Both images were shot at iso 3200 so that part is pleasing

Glen,

We certainly can't accuse you of oversharpening these. :)

You obviously have not the faintest idea on how to use quality gear Glen. I will be more than happy to take the ’lemon’ off your hands

Oh dear, it looks like the D300 is suffering the same fate as the 1DIII from Canon. Let's hope Nikon do a better job. ;)
