Easiest way to sell prints online?

Postby Aszental on Mon Feb 04, 2008 6:58 pm

Hey.
I was wondering whats the easiest way that i could sell prints online.

e.g. if i shoot an event people can log on to a website and order prints, i know there is smugmug and the like however i want the printing to be done locally, and as far as i'm aware that cannot be done on those sites.

Thanks!

redbubble do the printing, online sales and distribution but they are not really into having lots of galleries like smugmug. from all reports the smugmug printing is very good and they have a good turn around coming from USA.

sorry cant help anymore with local sites and local printing

I wouldnt recommend red bubble for that sort of thing as it is more for your "best work" type thing.

You can make galleries on a number of other sites then provde a link and let people order directly from the website. I think fototime (first 500mb free) will do this for you.

C41 express in NSW offers online galleries, for your photos, they print the photos and also mail them out. You set the prices and get a cheque at the end of the month for the photos.

details: http://www.c41express.com.au/online.html
:
other than that there really isn't anyone else who does galleries, prints them for you and post them to clients. (pictage in the usa does - for yankees)

Im personally setting up my own online proofing via PickPic software - Ill print in-house and also at the local lab for weddings / portraits etc.

I can advocate for C41express as a printing company, although my website isn't setup through them, I choose to use them for printing and love their results. Not only that I find their pricing competitive.
