Adjusting dates of Photos

Postby kipper on Sun Feb 20, 2005 5:45 pm

Hey, does anybody know if there is a program that will allow you to select multiple photos and shift the date/time by say 8hours or 1hour?

I don't want to manually set the time I just want to shift it forward or back from the current time by a set number of minutes/hours/days etc.

Have a few photos that were on Australian Time when I took them in Europe :)

A standard EXIF editor might be able to handle it - eg. Irfanview.

I guess you're a candidate to appreciate the Coordinated Universal Time function of the D2X/D2Hs.

Of course this feature will be poo poo-ed as not neccesary or not applicable, but when Canon introduces it in their next generation 1D/markIII's it will herald wide user acclaim as being the best thing since sliced bread.

Much like the "gimmick" of wireless in the D2H, and then a year later the "absolutely groundbreaking" wireless of the 1Ds Mk2.

Well it seems ACDSee also does exactly what I want aswell.
Allows you to adjust every aspect of date/time for the file:

creation
last modified
exif

You can adjust it by hours forward/back, based on another file or exif data.

Well it appears this is the case for JPEGs, however ACDSee fails to adjust the EXIF for NEFs. Has anybody found a program that allows you to edit the EXIF data for NEFs, such as incrementing date/time by minutes, hours, days etc
