Forum Xmas meet pics

Postby Matt. K on Mon Dec 15, 2008 8:48 pm

Thanks to Leon and Amanda for hosting a great BBQ for the Xmas meet. It was a relaxed, friendly afternoon enjoyed by all.
Pic 1 shows the gang. If anyone can identify the dodgy looking character bottom left....it is believed he just walked in off the street...had his fill of wine and food....posed for the group shot, and left, a mysterious and brazen gatecrasher for sure!

Pic 2 shows Leigh Stark with the Cuban representative of the forum. Never let it be said we are not cosmopolitan!

Stubbsy got into the swing of things by plugging his head into a coffee machine...

After a delightful lunch the gang undertook some tuition in level 2 for ant macrophotography!

Looks more like Peter showing off his iPhone again. Maybe he was doing a slide show for Gary but Gary got bored and walked away.

I will repeat the thanks to Leon and Manda for their hospitality.

Many thanks to Geoff and Craig for the play with their D700's, Matt K for teaching me how to clean my sensor.

Here are a few of my shots from the day.

Interesting that 41% of the male attendees have beards. That must be significantly higher than the
general population.

And, up until 10:30am on the day, I was going to be there, too, which would have made it 44%.

And Greg, did you pay attention to the toys?

Leigh and Sheepie each playing with their iPhone, with Sheepie's plugged into a pair of portable speakers in the foreground, Wall-E off to one side, and gorilla-pod-man under Leigh's arm.
