Naming your images

I am trying to name my D70 images different to my old digital images (from Sony 707) but can't seem to work out how?

I want to name all my images D70-xxxx.JPG I have worked out how to do it using the transfer software however it seems I need to reset the number value each transfer.

Is there a way to change the naming of photos in camera? At the moment images get named DSCxxx, were I want to change it to D70-xxxx.

Use Nikon View, a free download from http://www.nikon-asia.com/ it can rename on the transfer. You may want to use a more subject specific name Eg Bridge for bridge shots You can also set the numbers to continue on from last transfer eg use card download 40 shots. Format card, numbering starts from 1. On transfer it will make 1+41, etc, etc
