Street Shoot Newtown - Theatre Call.

Postby gstark on Sat Sep 19, 2009 2:24 pm

As I think I mentioned in one of the street shooting threads, one of the ladies we photographed was involved with a local theatre group, and we invited her to participate in our shoot, interrupting her Sunday while she was busy placing some notifications about her performances around the area.

Although she mentioned to me that there might be an opportunity to perhaps help them with some shooting of the production, this has not come to pass. Regardless, Jane has asked us, and I would encourage those of you who can, to help support local theatre and try to get along to the production

Here's a copy of Jane's email to me, with her personal details edited out, of course.

Jane wrote:Hello Gary!
thanks for the experience lst sunday. I hope you and your team are able to make come along to my show this week. I would like to offer you an enjoyable artful experience too.

I mentioned I may be looking for a photographer to collect some documentation for us, and thank you for giving me your card but I another member of our team has already arranged an alternative.

I really do hope you can make it along to investigate and support the show and arts projects in newtown genrally!

many many thanks
Jane

I think the cost of a ticket to the performance is just PP20, which I think is a piddling amount to help support something as important as local theatre.

I'm going to try to go, and that will be either tomorrow, or on Thursday.

The play only has a three week run, and it finishes this Saturday, so next week isn't a good idea. :)

And if y'all listen to The Shed tomorrow, after 1pm (www.radio2rdj.com) Peter and I are expecting Jane and some of the cast to come in for an interview.
