Camcorder help

not sure if anyone can help here but am after a new camcorder and i know bugger all. am looking at the 2 below:

Panasonic hdc-tm300
Canon vixia hf s11

any opinions ? i'm leading towards the canon cos...well...its a canon.

Panasonic in this case. The Canon HFS11 has very little difference from the HSF10 which came out earlier this year.

thanks chris.
just another question, what is the difference between the US/ Japan version and the aussie version ? the jap version is significantly cheaper. ie: can i buy the jap version and will it work the same ? (yes i understand there will be no waranty).
