What? No Christmas do?

Postby ATJ on Fri Nov 13, 2009 1:14 pm

Not sure if I missed the announcement or there just hasn't been one yet.

I assume that by the 2x2 rules, there should be a Christmas do on 12 December which is less than a month away. Am I right? Was there an announcement?

I think so, and not yet.

Thank you for reminding us.

Peter usually handles the 2x2 meets, and combining a Chrissie meet with the 2x2 would be an excellent idea.

Yes there will be a 2x2 meet on December 12 - just scoping out where to go and being mindful of the heat. And I've been $#%!@ busy in my day job!

What about your night job Peter? :)
I'd be keen for this 2x2 meet and if it doesn't end too late, I will be able to make it.
Bel and I are off to Greenday that evening/night.

AFAICT, the date is confirmed - it's a 2x2 date - but the activities are not yet set down.

Unfortunatly won't be able to make it again, already have a do on. If you happen to be around The Oaks at Neutral Bay any time after 1pm feel free to call by for an ale or three.

Cheers

So I guess the answer to my original question is "No". There is no DSLRUsers Christmas do as such. Just the regular 2x2 event. :(

I was looking forward to a xmas meet this year, it has been awhile since we have had a big get-together. Unfortunately I cant make the 2x2 as I will be slaving away all day at my retail job.

How about this...

pick a location with a BBQ, bring 15kg of meat + 10 cartons of beer plus cask wine for the classy people among us and setup camp for a good evening/night...

cheap and relatively easy...

I thought after 11 years i would be safe....

um, if there a few interested parties - could just do it on the 2x2 day, but there is not appearing to be much sign of life at the moment...

Last years 'do' worked out quite well...would be happy with something similiar..
