Re: Looking for a forrestWhat you will need of one of the larger old gardens.
I recall seeing one at Mossvale on a gardening show that had a birch forest as part of it. I'll see if I can track down thed name of the actual garden. Other possibilities are the Everglades at Leura, any of several at Mt Wilson, and if you only need a few trees, one of the old gardens up on the North Shore (e.g. Wahroonga) EDIT Oh and Myoori Ave at Wentworth Falls has about an acre of Plane trees in its middle.I'll take a photo sometime today. Re: Looking for a forrestI think there is still a pine plantation on the eastern side of Prospect Hill (Greystanes area) I dont know about access though, used to be owned by BMG.
Also there is a tree plantation west of Windsor just before the river and several small stands of Poplars beside the Hawksbury River in the Marroota area these would be on private property.

Re: Looking for a forrest
I think this is the one Rick is talking about, these were taken on a foggy morning in June so I don't know what the leaves will be like now they are all planted in rows but the look changes on the diagonal the trees are only about 6"-8" in diameter... more space for the models hope this helps
Re: Looking for a forrestOK Since we are doing pictures now, here are three I prepared earlier today:
This is the one I saw on the Gardening program It is actually Kennerton Green in Bong Bong Rd, Mittagong It reminds me of Forests I saw in Russia This one was on our way to the shops in Leura. GeoTagged. And this one is the one in Myoori Ave, Wentworth Falls. GeoTagged. Of course, if you are after something a little wilder, I can show you that too. Greg
