Designer Photo Books

Postby Chica on Tue Mar 02, 2010 7:53 pm

Hi everyone

One of my friends, a graphic artist, has established a business designing professional photobooks. You supply the photos - and she transforms them into gorgeous photobooks.

Blurb from the site:

'Designer Photo Books are the best way to preserve your treasured memories. Unlike ordinary prints, the high quality paper will sustain the colours of your photos and stand the test of time.

Each Designer Photo Book stands alone on the strengths of its design and artistry, and is uniquely developed using your own images from slides, negatives, prints and digital files. By applying the highest standards of creativity and quality the beautiful Designer Photo Books are created.'

Take a look.... www.robynhaworth.com.au

Cheers

Apart from the fact that your post appears to violate forum rules http://www.dslrusers.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=83 (happy to stand corrected by the mods though!), I don't think that I would order a photobook from someplace that suggests it is going to take 6-8 weeks to return the product. Using parcel post is pretty poor too IMO. I am also puzzled by the requirement to post her a CD/DVD of the shots. The photobooks that I have designed have allowed direct upload to their website which is much easier and no hassle at all.

Good luck to your friend, but I think that I will keep using my current supplier.
