Sydney NYE Timelapse video

Postby stubbsy on Thu Jan 06, 2011 9:18 pm

This is something I wish I had (a) the expertise to do and (b) the access to do it. A Sydney New Years Fireworks timelapse video that is just amazing. It's best watched full screen.

For a moment I thought you did one with your shots from the camera which was on an interval timer.

Thanks for this though, it's brilliant.

i like the boats running around like fireflies
its brilliant to think that if they shot it on interval timer they got some well timed fireworks bursts in the interval shooting
or they could of triggered the camera during fireworks bursts
its also brilliant how they zoomed in a few scenes and used multiple angels

More likely to be that Wendell.

I did wonder whether this was a Ken duncan effect in post. Would have been exceedingly hard (but not impossible) to do a bit of zooming etc while the shooting was ongoing.

Nice location in the middle of the water though. "They must have strapped the camera to a fixture in the water.

I assume they used DSLRs to shoot this.
