The autofocus is great. Never once that I remember was there any hunting, even in relatively low light. I've tested it with 28-70 f/2.8 ED, 70-200 f/2.8 ED VR, and the 200-400 f/4 ED VR. Also with the later lens I tested it with the 2x teleconverter, and AF still holds up exceptionally well.

Woohoo!! 200-400 x 2 x1.5 crop factor = 1200mm usable.... Go to the HSM mode in the D2x and Birdy owns a 1600mm AF lens !!!

Of course all he needs now is the camera :lol: :lol:

Yeah, but what about Glen's Ruski lens or even the lucky bastard with the Sigma 300-800!

Even the D2H is exceptional in low light. Nikon's new flagship really is the bee's knees!

Yes, the D2 series handle well in low light!
