My 2.38 SecondsHi all,
Not sure how many have been watching "the Block" but one of my photos was printed on canvas and hung in the winning room on Sunday just gone. You can view the room here: http://homes.ninemsn.com.au/theblock/rooms-masterbedroom/8275082/polly-and-waz-master-bedroom-ensuite Have a great day! Re: My 2.38 SecondsHey - congrats!
Do you have the image for sale somewhere? How did the contestants obtain it? TFF (Trevor)

Re: My 2.38 Seconds
Indeed.
Be careful what you ask. Dave's image was probably the only item of high quality that will have been on the show throughout its whole run thus far, and that's a situation that's unlikely to change anytime soon. g.

Re: My 2.38 SecondsThanks guys,
I happen to know one of the contestants personally and they asked me for a specific style of picture. Luckily I had taken lots of shots in Melbourne over the last couple of years and only had to choose and appropriate one, convert to B&W and get it printed/delivered.
You'd probably be surprised. I visited the house during filming and it was pretty well done. The difference this year being that the couples are not doing the structural work, they are mainly doing painting and decorating and coordinating the trades. 7D, 60D, 70-200mm f/4LIS, 17-50mm f/2.8, 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5, 50mm f/1.4, 100mm f/2.8 Macro, 580EX II
Re: My 2.38 Seconds
No. I expect the show to be crap, and from what I've seen, I'm totally unsurprised. I've had the misfortune to have the tv on while this has been going to air. With all due respect to your friends, what a total waste of airtime. The show is absolute mindless crap of the lowest possible order. Why do most of the females have voices that sound like they're inarticulate frogs? The only thing that surprises me is that some people actually seem to watch this sort of rubbish, and seem to find it entertaining. Sorry. No I'm not. g.

Re: My 2.38 SecondsLOL I meant you'd be surprised at the quality of the houses, not the show As far as the show goes..... no comment 7D, 60D, 70-200mm f/4LIS, 17-50mm f/2.8, 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5, 50mm f/1.4, 100mm f/2.8 Macro, 580EX II
Re: My 2.38 SecondsLOL, well the quality of the picture isn't in question its great, and I like that they tied the local view into the wall art. Not many of us can say out photos have been on national television well done.
Re: My 2.38 SecondsCongrats Dave! Looks like a nice canvas print. Where did you get it done?

Re: My 2.38 SecondsThanks guys - appreciate it.
Nope - Mine was the Melbourne cityscape with the yarra in the foreground. The tree was a print used on a different night.

Re: My 2.38 SecondsThanks Colins!
I visited the house on the weekend and am really happy with the result. It just goes to show that the best photos are not always the "right" one. That particular shot was pretty dodgy but cleaned up and converted to B&W it came up a treat - and matched the rest of the room which was the most important thing. 7D, 60D, 70-200mm f/4LIS, 17-50mm f/2.8, 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5, 50mm f/1.4, 100mm f/2.8 Macro, 580EX II
