My first DSLR

Hi Guys,

I have just bought a manufacturer refurbished Canon EOS 1000d DSLR.

This is my first DSLR and I need to buy a lens for it.

Could you give some opinions on what lens to buy, probably something for beginners and a good all rounder would be best.
