Video and VR

Postby ATJ on Fri Jan 06, 2012 10:04 am

For those that are interested (and don't have closed minds), here's a quick and dirty video demonstrating the benefit of VR to shooting handheld video with a DSLR.

While the movement is still there when the VR is on, the VR takes a lot of the jerkiness out of it and makes it easier on the eye.

Now, if you don't shoot video and personally don't see a benefit, I don't care and am not interested in lame excuses. For me, when I'm shooting video underwater, the VR significantly improves my results. This is why I would like to see VR in a 60mm micro lens (my favoured lens for underwater use).

You take your computer underwater? :biglaugh:

Two or three lights, any lens on a light-tight box are sufficient for the realisation of the most convincing image. Man Ray 1935.
