Sigma 50 - 500mm

I am aware that some people do not like this lens but these two were taken at 500mm in fairly poor light conditions. They are not by any means perfect but they do show that the lens is good at it's limit.

If those images are sharp at full size then you have a couple of beautiful photographs there! The second image is a classic Aussie icon. Bloody well captured!

Matt at 100% they are not bad. The problem with these sorts of shots I find is getting the lens to focus on the subject. Birds in the trees can be hard for the lens to pickout from amongst the branches.

And then a tripod or monopod is required, my guess!

Oneputt - excellent captures. I have seen some awful shots with this lens but, once again, I say that any lens in the right hands works - and it works for you

Absolutely Birddog used the old Manfrotto and a remote.
