Death of a legendHorst Faas has died. This is sad news. Faas was a co-editor of ‘REQUIEM’, along with Tim Page. This is one of my most prized photography books. He, like Tim Page, redefined what it was to be a great war photographer. RIP.
Regards

Re: Death of a legendI had to do a quick google search, but this name was behind many iconic images, either as a photographer or as an art director/editor

Re: Death of a legendRIP, well respected.
this shot is nothing short of amazing and thats before you even consider the war context. http://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/style/horst-faas-vietnam-war-era-photographer-dies-at-79/2012/05/10/gIQAAZ22GU_gallery.html#photo=25 gerry's photography journey
No amount of processing will fix bad composition - trust me i have tried.
Re: Death of a legendWow stunning compos on most of them. Thanks for posting Matt.
Re: Death of a legendoh wow. His images were certainly great, and brought the conflict home, for better or worse.
I actually just bought an original print of his with his handwriting on the back from a historical photo business in the U.S. with the typed A.P. wire-photo caption. It accompanied and article on U.S. helicopter forces early in the War when they were still supporting and advisors.... 2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc
