It just goes to show that photography was technically outstanding before the turn of the century....and even now our fancy digital cameras are not really capable of the beauty that the medium displayed in the hands of an expert....and an old glass plate large format camera.

Remember though - we are talking about huge cameras mounted on heavy tripods. Most exposures would be quite long. Have a look at the photo of the workers at the construction sight. They are all completely static to enable that photo to be taken. TFF (Trevor)
