Nikkor 50mm 1.8G issuesAhoy folks,
Long time, no post. Just have run into an interesting issue with my trusty 50mm 1.8G. I recently bought a couple of D600 bodies, and went for a walk about with one of them mounting my vaunted 50mm G. Getting back I found that high contrast areas produced purple fringes. Terribly so. So, I tried it on the other body, and it did it on there also. So, panicking I mounted a 70-200 and tested each body, nil issues. Nor with any other lens I tried. Is it possible that the lens doesn't focus all the light properly on the new bodies? Has anyone ever had anything similar with any setup? Incidentally, everything else works fine on the bodies, and I am amazed at the images they produce. 2x D700, 2x D2h, lenses, speedlights, studio, pelican cases, tripods, monopods, patridges, pear trees etc etc

Re: Nikkor 50mm 1.8G issuesAre the images sharp? IE: is the camera focusing the lens correctly? Also...is there a filter on the lens? Lastlt, can you post a couple of examples.
