What bag do you guys use??

I have the Lowepro Orion backpack. And thanks to this forum, I've been buying more gear, because all you guys do here is create lust. So I am running out of room in my bag. I even have to put my SB-800 in the top where it's not even padded. And I know I'll end up with a few more lenses before I am done. So.... what do y'all recommend? I am only considering the back pack kind. Anybody have a bag they love? Anyone have a bag they hate?

I know that a lot of us have the Mini Trekker AW (lowepro) and I for one find this a great bag. I made the mistake as a few of us did I think, getting the Microtrekker 200, then having lust and realising this was too small. I am a new but big fan of the Mini Trekker AW, I can fit my two D70 bodies in there, my SB-800, kit lens, 70-300G, 50mm 1.4 and my portable hdd without any dramas. I also just found out that the reflector (one that folds up quite small) will fit in this bag too! Very handy! God luck and let us know how you get on.

I have 2x LowePro mini trekker AW. While I have too much gear for one but I've not seen a larger bag that I would want to use. For me it just seems the perfect size for travel and shooting.

I've got the lowepro computrekker which I believe is the same as the minitrekker, but with a section for a laptop. I find it to be a sensational backpack that can fit in a lot of gear. They really have thought of everything with this backpack, including a 100% waterproof cover.

I have the Mini Trekker AW, and I am very happy with it. There were quite a few of them at yesterday's Melbourne meet too.

The Crumplers are excellent too, but more expensive.

Have any of you guys tried the new Tamrac Expedition (or Explorer, I can remember) 5?.

It looks quite good and I like the Tripod holder.

I have one of the older crumpler shoulder sling bags.
I like them as they are more accessible to me with it on. I have access to all my gear whilst on the go by flipping over the top flap. I don't like having to take my bag off to pull out equipment. I also like that it's not quite as camerabag-esque as some of the others.
It's slightly fat against my side, but manages to be comfortable, well padded & carries alot of gear.
Though it's slightly expensive full price, If you are in Melbourne, go to the Factory Outlet (Glenferrie Rd. Hawthorn). I bought my bag there for half price - $125 IIRC.

I use two bags

Targus shoulder big which can fit 3 lens + body

Samsonite 400 inventure series. Modified the bag by having two fomes on side so that the d70 can sit on it nicely. I take em when i'm on dance party taking shots for an online dance community.

I, like Joolz have one of the Crumpler shoulder bags. I know you said you were after a back pack, but one major failing of the backpacks was pointed out to me when out with a fellow photographer (c@n0n user blurghhh!) who has a Lowepro.

We were about to take some landscape shots after alot of rain, it was real muddy underfoot and he needed to change lens & add a filter. If he'd been on his own he'd have had to put his shinny new Lowepro backpack on a very muddy floor to open and get the stuff he needed out, and put the stuff he didn't need back in. As it was I ended up holding his bag whilst he changed lenses.

All my gear was perfectley accesable whilst still over my shoulder in my Crumpler Budgie Smuggler (!), no juggling with straps or muddy bags - instant access at a moments notice!

I carry the Tamrac Velocity 9, every day. I just bought a spare from Amazon because they had a good sale on them.

I, like most who've been to Birddog's, ended up with the Mini Trekker AW.

Great bag.

My one minor annoyance, and I know others have had this same anoyance, was the waist strap, but I've sorted that.

Simply tuck the straps into the AW cover compartment. The velcro is of a length that the straps fit perfectly next to it. Like it was made for it (maybe it was?).

Since talking to their reps and being told about a huge sale they were supposed to have (which didn't happen in the end) I decided not to head in the Crumpler direction. They all seem to be a bit up themsleves and I think there's a few screws loose within the company! Their website pretty much sums it up.
